INTRODUCTION

                  The Department of Youth Services & Sports was created during 1982-83 with the objective of involving youth in the task of National reconstruction and to harness their energy towards eradication of social evil. About 35% of the population consists of youth need ample opportunity for self-expression, self development and cultural attainment enabling them to assume social and civic responsibility. To become socially useful, functionally effective and economic well being, the Department is providing requisite institution and infrastructural facilities to these youth in its various programmes/agencies.

                  The main aim of the Department is to make the youth a powerful instrument in effecting social, cultural and economic changes and to channelise their energies,idealism and aspirations towards building up a strong and modern India.
