Paragliding |
|
Himachal, an
international tourist destination and hub of adventure activities,
has been consistently involved with aero sports since 1984’s
International hang gliding rallies at Bir Billing. Government
Sponsored training programmes, championships and inputs in
infrastructure creation has triggered a spiral effect in the number
of gliding sports enthusiasts. Paragliding has provided a new
horizon to the Youth of area as well as alluring dimension to the
throbbing tourism industry.
Youth Services and Sports is a key player in Himachal government’s
initiatives to ensure youth empowerment and utilizing their energies
for national development. Adventure sports is a key
area of youth involvement & concern, our response is towards fulfillment of youth
aspirations….

exposure to our budding army of young amateur pilots i.e. novice &
women pilots, thus broad basing & democratising the paragliding
