The web-portal http://himachal.nic.in is the official website of the Government of Himachal Pradesh, India and is an initiative towards extending various information & services to the common man through the Internet. The objective is to provide most commonly required information to the public without the need for physically visiting the Government offices for small jobs.

The contents of this website are informative only and for the benefit of the public. Although all efforts have been made to ensure the accuracy of the content on this website, the same should not be construed as a statement of law or used for any legal purposes. In case of any ambiguity or doubts, users are advised to verify/ check with the contributing State Government organisation and/or other source and to obtain appropriate professional advice. If you feel that some information is not correct or needs updation, please write to the webmaster through the Feedback/ Contact Us page, who shall pass on your views to the authorities/office/department concerned for remedial action, if required.

The chatbot, named Sahayak, is an automated response system to assist the users in searching relevant website content, including hyperlinked web content, in an interactive manner. The user can ask questions which the chatbot tries to answer by selecting the best possible answer from the available database of questions and answers. It does not forward any query or request for help to any human being. However, it records the questions and answers for further improving the automated system.

This web-portal also provides links to various sites developed independently by different departments/ boards/ corporations/ universities/ other organisations. The authenticity of the content put on these websites is the responsibility of the concerned organisations. This information is also informative in nature and for the benefit of public. Neither the concerned department/ organisation nor NIC is responsible for any inadvertent errors due to any reasons whatsoever. You may either write to the department concerned on the given e-mail address or to the webmaster through the Feedback/ Contact Us page for corrections/ updations/ suggestion, if any.

The Himachal Pradesh Government does not authorise the use of copyrighted materials contained in linked websites. Users are advised to request such authorisation from the owner of the linked websites. The Himachal Pradesh Government, NIC also, does not guarantee that linked websites comply with the Indian Government website guidelines.

The procedures for obtaining various services from different departments and the accompanying downloadable forms are also informative in nature and some of the offices might be using different forms/ procedures. Due care has been taken in preparation of these procedures & forms. However the content on the website doesn’t confer any right on anyone that this be the final word.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Indian Laws. Any dispute arising under these terms and conditions shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India. Under no circumstances will the Government of Himachal Pradesh or National Informatics Centre be liable for any expense, loss or damage including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss or damage, or any expense, loss or damage whatsoever arising out of or in connection with the use of this web-portal.
