Chief Secretary

Shri Kamlesh Kumar Pant, an IAS Officer of batch 1993 who has put in more than 32 years of Indian Administrative Services, since 5th September, 1993 and have served in different capacities in various Departments of the State Government of Himachal Pradesh.  

He served as Deputy Commissioner Hamirpur, Deputy Commissioner Una, Deputy Commissioner Kangra at Dharamshala, Principal Secretary (Education, Transport & LAC), Additional Chief Secretary (Forest, Revenue & Home), Chairman Pollution Control Board, Chairman Himachal Pradesh State Tax Tribunal, Financial Commissioner (Appeals). Now took over as Chief Secretary to the Government of Himachal Pradesh on 01.06.2026.
