He served as Divisional Commissioner, Kangra, Deputy Commissioner, Lahaul & Spiti, Principal Secretary (Education, Technical Education, Transport), Additional Chief Secretary (Social Justice & Empowerment, Forest, Fisheries), Chairman Pollution Control Board, Chairman Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Ltd., Chairman Himachal Pradesh Ropeway and Rapid Transport Corporation Ltd., Chairman Himachal Pradesh Sales Tax Tribunal, Financial Commissioner (Appeals).
